Group sections, age ranges, etc.

Scouting is about doing something interesting with life; it's activity, fun, self reliance and getting
on with others.
Young people join a section appropriate to their age, and in Welshpool we have all sections:

6 - 8 yrs:     Beavers - see page 2
8 - 10 yrs:   Cub-Scouts - see page 3
10 - 14 yrs:   Scouts - see page 4
14 - 18 yrs:   Explorer Scouts - see page 5

All sections are open to both sexes.

The new Explorer Scout Section was introduced in September 2002 to replace
Venture Scouting - Scouting does not stand still! - and Montgomeryshire's section is running well.
Explorers have an age range of 14 to 18, and the Area-based Scout Network is available for the over 18s.
